Fuquay-Varina

Fuquay-Varina’s Independence Day Celebration actually happens on July 3rd,—which frees up your Fourth for even more festivities! The party kicks off at 6pm in South Park and will include live music from Spare Change, free inflatable rides and games, a Splash Pad, and food and drink vendors. You’re also free to bring your own cooler, so pack a picnic to bring along! Fireworks start at sundown, or roughly 9:15pm.

Fayetteville

Fireworks.

Fayetteville doesn’t just have one event for the Fourth—in fact, it spreads out quite a few happenings throughout the course of the week. Things get started right away on Monday the 1st, with the annual Independence Concert & Fireworks in Festival Park. Later in the week, you’ll have two chances to catch a game of America’s Favorite Pastime, with the Fayetteville SwampDogs and Fayetteville Woodpeckers both playing on the 3rd (rumor has it there may even be fireworks afterwards).

Wake up bright and early on the morning of the Fourth, and either run in or cheer on the participants of the Firecracker 4 Miler, then take a little break before hitting up a nearby event like Fort Bragg’s Fourth of July or the Hope Mills Independence Day Party.

Lillington

If you’re in Lillington for the Fourth, then you won’t want to miss the Lillington Fourth of July Celebration. The event lasts pretty much all day, from 1pm to 10pm, and includes highlights like a DJ, food and drink vendors, water slides, live entertainment, and more—not to mention fireworks, of course!
