Ahh, fall. That lovely cooling weather, those gorgeous leaf colors, all the spicy fall flavors (mmm pumpkin spice)… there’s much to love about autumn. And if you love autumn as much as we (clearly) do, then you’ll definitely want to celebrate the season with some fun fall festivities.
Here are some of the top fall events in the Triangle.

Where: Centennial Square
What: Kick back and relax with some live and local music… plus local breweries, food trucks, a kids zone, and more.

What: Meet Captain Blackbeard while sword fighting, singing sea shanties, engaging in games, and having an all-round swashbuckling good time.
When: Sept 28
Where: Koka Booth Amphitheatre, Cary
What: It’s not just dragon boat racing (as if that wasn’t enough)—it’s also a celebration of culture with stage performances, games and crafts, street food, arts and crafts, and more.

Where: Historic Downtown Fuquay (Main St)
What: Celebrate our fantastic little town with live entertainment, food, art vendors, craft beer, a chili cook-off, and more.
When: October 5
Where: Downtown North Wilkesboro
What: Okay so this one’s not in the Triangle… but it’s a great idea for a fall weekend trip filled with gorgeous leaf views and one of the Southeast’s largest one-day arts and crafts festivals!
On Saturday, enjoy a day packed full of arts and crafts (over 425 artisans), food (100+ vendors), and live entertainment (4 stages). There’s clogging, folk dancing, blue grass, soap making, and tons of apples. And on Sunday, you can spend the day hiking or leaf-peeping around the area!
