Fall is here… which means the holiday season (believe it or not) is just around the corner! It might not feel like the holidays yet, but that’s just because you need a nice themed event to kick off the season and get you in the spirit!
Here are some upcoming Triangle events to kick off the holiday season.
Raleigh Christmas Parade
When: Nov 23, 9:30am
Where: Downtown Raleigh
What: It’s the largest Christmas parade between Washington, DC and Atlanta… so it’s one you’re not going to want to miss! And afterwards, hang out a bit and visit local shops or restaurants, or explore the American Indian Heritage Celebration at the NC History Museum.
Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration
When: Nov 23, 6 – 8pm
Where: Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, Downtown Raleigh
What: Nothing quite says, “Welcome to the holiday season!” like the Raleigh tree lighting! But it’s more than that—there’ll also be live entertainment, crafting activities, food vendors, and even a Marbles Kids Museum Pop-Up Corner Store.
Makers Market at Fuquay Varina Arts Center
When: Nov 30, 10am – 2pm
Where: Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, 123 E Vance Street
What: Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the Fuquay Varina Markers Market. Browse unique, hand-crafted work by both new and established local artists.
Fuquay Varina Tree Lighting & Sleigh Ride
When: Dec 5, 5 – 8:30pm
Where: Downtown Fuquay
What: This small-town event is actually pretty big—there will be live performances, an ice skating rink, visits with Santa, and sleigh rides, too!
Fuquay Varina Christmas Parade
When: Dec 8, 3pm
Where: Downtown Fuquay
What: Cheer for friends, family, and fellow community members as they march down the streets of historic Fuquay in celebration of what makes life in this little town so great. There’s even an After Party afterwards.
Fayetteville Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade
When: Dec 14, 11 – 1pm
Where: Downtown Fayetteville
What: It’s the perfect way to usher in the holiday season in Downtown Fayetteville!
